In our effort to make Salon Symphony the most reliable communication platform in the beauty industry, we continue to make product enhancements while addressing all known issues.
Below is a list of bug fixes and change requests made in v1.1.6, released on September 27, 2024.
Bug Fixes 🐞
- Chat » General » Push Notifications: users will not see a blank screen when opening a chat thread; users are now directed to the All Messages screen by default.
- Chat » Group Chat » Push Notifications: users will not see DM message strings when opening a group chat thread; users are now directed to the All Messages screen.
- Chat » Group Chat » Action Overlay » Delete Group: users will not be able to "Delete Group" chats; users can "Leave Group" and all historical data will be saved for record-keeping purposes.
- Chat » Group Chat » Add/Remove User » users will not be notified when a user is added or removed from a group chat; when a user is added to a group chat, the channel will automatically appear in their Messages. Likewise, when a user is removed from a group chat, the channel will automatically disappear.
- Flashcards » General: the entire Flashcards feature/module is now deprecated (removed) in version 1.1.6.
Enhancements 🚀
- Chat » General » Copy Text (to Clipboard): users can now long-hold a message string to copy all text in that string to their device's clipboard.
- Home » Events Feed » List Order: users now see events in ascending order by {event-start-date}.
- Create Account » Position (Job Title) » Options: users now have the option to select "Social/Marketing" and "Guest/Educator" as job titles from the Create Account screen when joining your workspace.
- Chat » Create Group Chat » Group Name: users can now add special characters {#, &, $, etc.) to their group chat name.

- Chat » Create Group Chat » Select All: users will be able to "Select All" team members (in one click) when creating a new group chat channel.
- Settings » Push Notifications » Pause Notifications: users will be able to pause push notifications for "1 hour", "3 hours", or "Until tomorrow (9:00 AM)".
- Chat » General » Emoji Reaction: users will be able to double-tap any message string to add a ❤️ emoji reaction.
