Groups allow you and other admins to easily refer to a set of members who share the same roles or responsibilities.
Meet Whip'd...Whip'd is a salon and spa specializing in hair and makeup for weddings. The owner of Whip'd wants to create a custom group of all members who travel to event locations to perform bridal services. |
The Challenge
The owner of Whip'd is using group text message to communicate with the five key team members who actively travel to perform the company's wedding services:
- 2 Stylists
- 2 Makeup Artists
- 1 Manager
The Solution
The owner decides to create a custom group in Salon Symphony so she can send easily alerts, assign tasks, set goals, and chat with these members.
From the sidebar, the owner navigates Team. Within the team menu, she clicks Groups. In the top-right corner of the page she clicks + Create Group.
- The owner gives this group a Group Name, such as Wedding Crew.
- From the dropdown, she Assigns Members by selecting the four members, then clicks Done.
- She decides to add a Group Photo, then clicks Save Group.
The Result
The owner and her admins can now tag this group when setting goals, assigning tasks and sending alerts, saving her time and creating a more collaborative culture.
