Salon Symphony users can be assigned the following roles within your workspace:
- Admins: People who are responsible for creating and managing content in your workspace, such as your managers. Admins have full access to both the Admin Dashboard and Mobile App.
- Members: People added to your workspace who interact and engage with your content via the mobile app, such as your service providers.
- Owner: The person who originally created your account, or had ownership transferred to them.
Update a user's role
Changing a user's role will change their permissions and account access. Admins have access to both the Desktop and Mobile App, whereas Members have access to the mobile app only.
To update a user's role after they've join, follow the steps below:
- Log into the Admin Dashboard on your desktop.
- From the sidebar menu, navigate to Team » Members.
- From the member's table, find the user you wish to update.
- In the Role column click the ▼ dropdown.
- Set the the user to your desired role by clicking Admin or Member.
- Then confirm the update in the popup.
About Members
Anyone you invite to Salon Symphony as a Member can:
- Submit requests.
- Send messages and start group chats.
- Take surveys and quizzes.
- Earn reward points and badges.
- View and respond to upcoming events.
- Download education resources.
- And more!
About Admins
Anyone you invite to Salon Symphony as an Admin can:
- Upgrade, downgrade and cancel your plan.
- Add members and invite other admins.
- Upload, edit and modify content.
- Approve and decline employee requests.
- Create quizzes, surveys and flashcards.
- Post upcoming events and send push alerts.
- Create custom groups and send direct messages.
- And more!
About Owners
The Owner is the person who originally created your Salon Symphony account. Owners have the highest permission levels and cannot be deleted or removed by other Admins. To request or transfer ownership to another person, please see this article.
Anyone who creates a Salon Symphony account can:
- Add, edit and remove other members and admins.
- Transfer ownership to another person in your account.
- Upgrade, downgrade and cancel your plan.
- Upload, edit and modify content.
- Approve and decline employee requests.
- Create quizzes, surveys and flashcards.
- Post upcoming events and send push alerts.
- Create custom groups and send direct messages.
- And more!
