Learn how to create, customize and edit surveys using Salon Symphony's Survey Builder to gain valuable insights and make better business decisions.
Create Survey
Step 1: Add Details
- From your dashboard menu, click Surveys.
- At the top right, click Create Survey.
- In the first field, enter the Survey Name, like Employee Onboarding Experience.
- In the Category dropdown, choose the survey type, such as Onboarding.
- Optional: Add a Description or details about this survey.
- Click Continue.
- Next, add a Cover Photo by choosing:
- To upload a custom photo: drag and drop your image file into the container.
- To choose from the gallery: click Gallery, then browse of search for an image.
- Click Next.
Step 2: Add Questions
- From the Survey Builder page...
- Choose the Question Type in the dropdown next Q1.
- Short Answer
- Multiple Choice
- Star Rating
- Emoji Rating
- Checkboxes
- Picture Choice
- In the text field, type your Question or prompt.
- To add another question, click + Add Question.
- Repeat steps 1 - 4 until your survey is complete.
- Once finished, click Publish Survey.
Edit Survey
- In the Dashboard menu, click Surveys.
- From your existing surveys, click the Survey Name you wish modify.
- This is the Survey Details page.
- At the top, click Edit.
- Make changes to Step 1 accordingly, then click Continue.
- From the Survey Builder, add or delete questions accordingly.
- When finished, click Publish Survey.
Survey Results
Survey results within Salon Symphony always represent a percentage of the total number of active users within your organization.
Following the example below, if you had 27 active users in your Workspace (including yourself) and 9 of those users answered "Trade shows and conferences" to Question 1, then 33% represents the total number of users who selected that option.
Delete Survey
- In the Dashboard menu, click Surveys.
- From your existing surveys, click the Survey Name you wish delete.
- This is the Survey Details page.
- At the top, click Delete.
- Review the disclaimer, then click Delete.
