Learn how to send immediate, scheduled, and recurring push notifications straight to your team's Salon Symphony app!
Pro Tip: Push Alerts are sent via push notification to all members who have notifications enabled. To learn more about notification settings, please see this article.
Immediate Alerts
Immediate alerts are one-time push notifications sent to recipients immediately, perfect for sending last-minute or urgent announcements to your staff.
- From the Push Alerts page, click Create Alert.
- Choose Immediate.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the Alert Title.
- Pro Tip: Think of your title like a headline: short and informative.
- From the Recipients dropdown, choose who should receive this notification.
- Everyone: sends to everyone on your team.
- Groups: sends to people in a certain Position, Location or Custom Group.
- Members: sends to one or more individuals.
- Next, enter the Alert Message.
- Pro Tip: This is the text that will appear below your alert title.
- Optional: Add Notification Link by switching the toggle on.
- Internal: Link to any content in your workspace, such as a resource, survey or quiz.
- External: Link to any web page on the internet, like a blog article or YouTube video.
- Click Send Alert.
Scheduled Alerts
Scheduled alerts are one-time push notifications sent to recipients on a future date and time.
- From the Push Alerts page, click Create Alert.
- Choose Scheduled.
- Using the calendar, select a Send Date.
- From the dropdown menu, choose the Send Time.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the Alert Title.
- Pro Tip: Think of your title like a headline: short and informative.
- From the Recipients dropdown, choose who should receive this notification.
- Everyone: sends to everyone on your team.
- Groups: sends to people in a certain Position, Location or Custom Group.
- Members: sends to a specific individual or individuals.
- Next, enter the Alert Message.

Recurring Alerts
The most powerful alert type is the recurring alert. This allows you send Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly or Annual notifications indefinitely. Think: set it and forget it!
- From the Push Alerts page, click Create Alert.
- Choose Recurring.
- In the first field, the frequency to Repeat Alert.
- Weekly: sends alert once every week.
- Bi-Weekly: sends alert once every two weeks.
- Monthly: sends alert once a month.
- Annual: sends alert once a year.
- Next, choose the Send Date and Time.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the Alert Title.

Delete Alerts
Admins can delete scheduled and recurring tasks by following the steps below.
Important: By deleting a scheduled or recurring task, you are deleting all future occurrences for this alert and the message cannot be recovered.
- From your Dashboard menu, click Alerts.
- From the table view, click the Alert Title you wish to cancel.
- This is the Alert Details page.
- At the top of the page, click Delete.
- Review the disclaimer, then click Delete.
Edit Alerts
Admins can edit future alerts (schedule and recurring) by following the steps below.
Important: Only alerts with a future send date can be modified. To preserve the data and stats in your workspace, past alerts cannot be edited.
- From your Dashboard menu, click Alerts.
- From the table view, click the Alert Title you wish to edit.
- This is the Alert Details page.
- At the top of the page, click Edit.
- Follow the steps in the popup and make your changes accordingly.
- Click Update Alert.
